Presentation Format
Please prepare your presentation in PowerPoint format only. We also request that you keep your presentation to 60 slides maximum.Conference Registration
Please register online as a Speaker by March 31st. This will ensure that your presentation will be included in the final Presentation Book. Go to the ALAW online registration page and follow the registration instructions. All speakers and session chairs receive a discounted full conference registration.
Hotel Reservations
The conference hotel is The Inn at St. John's. Reservations must be made through the hotel by calling 734-414-0600. Mention ALAW to receive the special rate of $129 per night prior to April 30, 2008.
Presentation Book
The ALAW conference presentationswill be compiled prior to the conference on a CD-Rom or flashstick. All ALAW attendees will receive the presentations as part of the conference. We need your full cooperation and support to accomplish this goal. In order for your presentation to be included, it must be submitted by April 30, 2008.
Onsite Details
Speaker Check-In
All speakers and session chairs are requested to report to the speaker check-in desk.
Presentation Time
Each speaker is allotted 30 minutes (including question /answer) for their presentation, unless otherwise instructed by the session chair. Please plan your presentation accordingly.
Audio / Visual Information
The standard audio/visual package in the meeting room will consist of:
- LCD projector
- Laptop Computer (with Windows 2000, Office XP)
- Lavaliere Microphone
- Laser Pointer
***35-mm slide projectors and overhead projectors will not be available for use***
All presentations will be preloaded onto the laptop provided in the meeting room. If your presentation should change between the time it was submitted and the conference please bring your updated version on CD or USB flash/memory stick to be uploaded onsite.
- The computer has desktop folders for the corresponding sessions.
- Presentations are preloaded and put into the appropriate session folder.
- Do not bring your presentation on a floppy disk or zip disks!
- CD/DVD drive will be available. Extra USB port will be available for memory stick/flash memory users.
Software: PC Laptop computers will have Office XP (includes Power Point, Word, and Excel). Macintosh presentations should be compatible.
