All attendees are welcome to call The Inn at St. John’s to make their reservations.  Please call our main number (734) 414-0600, and ask for reservations. ALAW Rate: $129 per night plus 10.5% tax.

Information about visa applications
http://www.nationalacademies.org/visas All foreign participants should apply for their visas as early as possible--we are recommending at least 3 months before the meeting. However, some consulates may have backlogs in scheduling visa interviews so they should first contact the consulate to find out how long the wait is for an interview.

Substitutions & Cancellations

We understand that circumstances may occur to prevent you from attending the conference. If you find that you cannot attend ALAW:

  1. Send a substitute. Substitutions can be made at any time at no extra cost - even on-site at the conference. (Please have the substitute bring your letter of confirmation to the registration desk.)

  2. Refund of monies. Requests for refunds must be made in writing and received on or before April 1, 2008. There is a $99.00 processing fee applied to all refunds. No refunds will be issued after April 1, 2008.
